Why Mean Girls is my BIBLE

Something about Mean Girls seemed to resonate with me growing up. Perhaps it was the all-girls boarding school, or the suffocating dishonesty behind the fake smiles and polite conversation at parties, but somehow this film taught me some serious life lessons:

1. Pink is always going to be in fashion

2. It's OK not to be good at everything

3. You should never let anyone stop you from doing what you want to do

4. It's always best to be modest

5. Ignore what people say behind your back

6. Smiling whilst being rude usually results in getting your own way

7. Take every compliment with a pinch of salt

8.Making up your own words doesn't make you cool

9. Laziness combined with binge eating will always catch up with you

10. Sex will never go the way you think it will

11. If you're going to dye your hair, make sure it looks natural

12. Halloween is not supposed to be scary

13. Always have a party trick that's unique

14. Always make just enough effort for any occasion

15. It is totally acceptable to address your girlfriends as 'whores'

Now all that's left to do is go back in time and find a role for Jennifer Lawrence.
