DELICIOUS HOME-MADE BURGERS

A Little Note

These are so easy, keep in the fridge and are perfect for the barbeque. You can also make mini ones and use them as meatballs, or make up a batch of mixture and freeze in Clingfilm. You can add mustard, bbq sauce or something else to the mix to jazz it up a bit!

You could also change the meat to lamb mince and include mint instead of parsley to make yummy lamb kebabs on sticks!

Ingredients

Beef mince

2 Garlic cloves – finely chopped

1 red onion – diced

1 egg

Plain flour

Fresh Parsley

Method

Whisk the egg in a large mixing bowl, then add the chopped onion and garlic. Break up the mince into the bowl and make sure all the meat is equally covered by the egg mixture. Roughly chop the parsley and add to the bowl, making sure everything is equally spread.

The mixture needs to be able to hold itself together, so sprinkle flour on the mix and knead it around, until it comes together to form a big ball. Make sure this is evenly mixed in – it should take around 4 tablespoons of flour.

Once the mix has come together, create your burgers by rolling smaller balls and then flattening them. Put some oil in a frying pan on a low-medium heat for 2-3 minutes on each side or cook them on the BBQ!

PS. Smaller meatballs can be lightly fried and added to a basic tomato sauce with some fresh herbs, then be served over pasta -NOM
