What's in my make-up bag?
Here is a list of my bare neccessities for everyday wear. These are the quick, affordable basics that I smudge on in the mornings and I swear by them. Let me know if there's a big secret I'm missing...
L'Oreal Paris: Infallible 24H-Matte - 13 Rose Beige
This goes on really well with finger tips or brush and has great coverage without feeling heavy on the face.
It turns matt and lasts longer than any other foundation I've tried! If you're sick of having a muddy look by the end of the day, this will solve your problems.
Seventeen: Phwoarr Paint - Medium
This has great coverage, but I tend to use it for a variety of things.
It has a lovely creamy texture and acts as a great base for eyeshadow. It's also great for contouring or for using with a brush to highlight under a brow.
Bobbi Brown: Bronzing Powder - Golden Light 1
This bronzing powder is perfect for all over the face or you can build it up for a contoured effect.
It uses red and brown tones (nothing orangey) to give a natural tanned look and it has a matt finish, so you won't come out looking like the sun. Always helps.
Essence: All about matt fixing powder
Sweep over the cheekbones and down the center of the nose to blot any shine and highlight.
I am currently using this transparent powder, but would use any light matt powder to set my make up for the day.
MAC: Sheertone Shimmer Blush - Plum Foolery
I use this under the cheek bones to add a flush of colour. This is a great colour as it has some purpleish undertones, so isn't too clown-like!
This has a slight shimmer to it so it adds definition and yoou only need a sweep.
KIKO: Ultimate Pen Longwear Eyeliner
So KIKO is my new favourite make-up brand!
They aren't in the UK at the moment, but you can buy online and it's worth the wait for the delivery.
They're reasonably priced, have beautiful packaging and the products are great quality.
This eyeliner pen is perfect for a quick line or a careful cat eye - mush easier than a gel-pot and brush. And it stays put!
KIKO: UltraTech Mascara
Love the comb-like brush and it really lengthens lashes as well as creating thickness.
KIKO: Smart Lipstick in Plum
Comes in a black tube and is true to its name with a pinky plum colour and a slightly shiny finish.
Comes out beautifully bright and doesn't bleed, but is always best with lip liner applied first.
Great finish for a smart, everyday look!
